Anchovy Pasta

1 red chilli
4 large cloves of garlic -- crushed
1 tin anchovies (reserve oil)
4 large onions -- sliced
large bunch basil
black pepper

Gently fry the chilli and garlic in the oil from the anchovies.

Add the onions and cook very gently for about 30 minutes, do not allow the onions to colour, just to get very soft.

Increase heat and add the tin of chopped anchovies and lots of basil.

Stir sauce through pasta of your choice.
