BBQ Fruit

Make
in advance a flavoured sugar syrup with soft light brown sugar, lemon juice, a
little water, add a slosh of booze if liked or any other flavouring that takes
your fancy. When cool pour into a container and store in fridge until required.
Thread bite sized chunks of fruit on pre-soaked skewers - such as strawberries,
peaches, kiwi fruits, mango, dessert pears, apples, bananas - in fact any
combination of three or four different fruits that take your fancy - peeled,
stoned, or cored as appropriate.
Brush the fruit with syrup and grill turning once or twice until just starting
to scorch here and there about 4-5 minutes. Sweetens and refreshes the mouth
nicely after all the savouries. ![]()
