Pecan Pie

3 eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup butter -- melted
1 cup pecan halves
1 prepared pie shell, unbaked
Beat the eggs in a bowl, adding sugar and syrup.
Beat in the salt, butter and vanilla extract, set aside.
Spread the pecans in the pie shell.
Pour the filling over and bake in a pre-heated 350oF (180oC Gas Mark 4) oven
The nuts will rise to the top to form a crust as it bakes.
