Pizza Dough

12 ounces plain flour
8 fluid ounces warm water
1 ounce fresh yeast OR
1 sachet dried yeast
3 tablespoons olive oil, light
1 teaspoon sugar

If using fresh yeast cream with sugar until liquid, then add water; if using dried yeast dissolve in the water with the sugar and allow to stand for 10 minutes until foamy.

Put the flour into the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with dough hook, add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead for 10 minutes.


Put dough into an oiled plastic bag and allow to rise for an hour or so until about double in size.

Knead for a few minutes and roll out to desired shape and thickness.

Add topping and allow to stand for 15-20 minutes then bake at 220oC for between 12 -18 minutes depending on topping
